High School Volunteers
Give Back. Lead. Make an Impact.
Our high school volunteers are an important part of what makes NYBL special. They work alongside our adult coaches to help lead practices, teach skills, support younger players, and, for some divisions, officiate games.
High school volunteers can request the age group and boys' or girls' division they'd like to work with and can even request to work with the same coach they have worked with in the past.
Volunteers typically earn 20–30 community service hours throughout the season while gaining valuable real-world skills in leadership, communication, organization, teamwork, and working with both children and adults.
And most importantly, the kids LOVE their high school coaches!
About Us
The Needham Youth Basketball league (NYBL) is a recreational basketball league for children in 1st-8th grade, who live in Needham, MA or attend school in Needham, MA. All abilities welcome and encouraged.
